My name is Chelsey Wang. I am 33 years old & married the love of my life, Rob Wang. We have a 1 year old son, named Keely Mac. I worked as a women’s counselor for six years for a large church in Southern California before moving to Bend, Oregon, where my husband and I now run our Organic Skincare Line, full time. Deciding to work on the Skincare line full-time was a big decision and one we are so happy we made! It has been so much fun serving our customers while working on product development and branding. We truly feel so blessed to do what we do!
How do you take care of yourself so that you’re physically and mentally prepared to be your best self for your loved ones?
I spent much of my early adult years obsessing over body image and being skinny. It. Was. Exhausting. So to be honest, now I focus a lot less on my body and try and work at living a more balanced life. I absolutely love doing Pilates and going for walks. Both of which are not too strenuous but also provide opportunity to clear my mind and strengthen my body. When I eat healthy and take care of myself, without depriving or dieting, I feel so much stronger and more present for my family and business.
What’s your favorite beauty secret?
Well as a red head, I cant go anywhere without mascara or I look like I’m still sleeping. Ha. But that’s not much of a secret ;-). I would have to say “Toner!” Toner is my best-kept secret. A much overlooked step in beauty care but a powerful product! Toner closes your pores so that dirt and makeup don’t sink into your skin. It hydrates and refreshes, while working as an anti-inflammatory and antiseptic. I use it morning and evening after washing my face. Glorious!
What’s your favorite outfit for a quick, polished look?
My favorite go to is a nice pair of jeans with a white t-shirt and a fitted blazer. Throw a pair of cute heels or a pair of flats with a chunky necklace and call it a day! In my opinion if your not comfortable or don’t feel like yourself, polished just looks fake.
What’s your favorite quick-prep dinner for your family?
White Bean Chicken Chili You can make a huge pot in a little amount of time. Add some sour cream, shredded cheese, cilantro and chips and it looks fancy!

What tradition or routine is important to you?
My mom set into motion the importance of a morning routine when I was just in grade school. She would encourage me to wake a bit earlier than normal to have quiet time. As a child, I would have it over breakfast, now as an adult, I am in the routine of waking a bit before my son to have a cup of coffee and read a devotional. This time is life changing! It gives me perspective and the encouragement I need to keep pressing forward and serving the people in my life while filling cared for and nurtured myself.
What’s in your purse?
Ha. Two years ago I would have answered “a clean and tidy purse” with a Kate Spade Wallet, hand sanitizer, a cute leather pouch filled with super fun lip-glosses, Kleenex and some mints. Now there are those items plus a size five diaper, an empty strawberry bar wrapper, a few wipes stuffed in ziplock and a teething toy ;-). Comes with the territory and I wouldn’t change it for all the tea in china!
Where do you find your inspiration?
People. I love people. Perhaps that’s why I originally worked as a counselor for all those years. I think people are incredible, creative and unbelievably talented. Being with people, hearing their stories, what they love, want, need, wish for, etc, inspires me.
We know you’re a busy lady! How do you balance all of your work responsibilities along with your home and personal life? Any tips for our readers?
You can’t do it all. It’s so silly to put that on yourself. As soon as I let my expectations of myself loosen up just a bit, I became so much happier and content with what I was balancing, which is a lot! We run a business full-time, and I am a full-time momma, pregnant with our second. I still counsel people over the phone and through skype. I love my husband dearly and love spending time with him, and I really love connecting with other women, speaking at conferences and spending time with friends and family. So, to say the least, something has to be put on the back burner. For me, it was about choosing a few things I will give myself to in this season and letting someone else HELP me with the rest. So, my house is clean because I pay a housekeeper to come clean it every week. I don’t do 6am coffee dates with every woman I know. Now, have quiet time at 6am to refuel and get ready for the day ahead. I host dinners once a month, not twice a week, for friends and family and I only say yes to speaking at conferences when I really want to. My tip: Choose what you love, and focus on that. Don’t compare yourself to other women, because honestly, they are not “DOING IT ALL” either!
What’s your favorite app (or other tool!) for helping you do life?
Although I love and appreciate technology, I am old school. I write everything down, on paper. I have enjoyed the Emily Ley Simplified Planner to help keep me organized as well as a monthly calendar on my desk to help keep me structured and prepared in both work & personal life.
