The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee invited Bryan and I to celebrate our eight year wedding anniversary last weekend at their incredible resort. (YES, PLEASE!) I was packed and ready to go before I even knew where Lake Oconee was. It’s a beautiful enormous lake about 75 miles outside of Atlanta. I’ve never vacationed at a lake before, but I am officially hooked. It was beautiful, quiet, and so VERY relaxing. Plus, no one does hospitality like Ritz-Carlton. It’s beyond incredible the way the staff at the Ritz paid special attention to every single moment of our visit. // Pictured above, clockwise: Dooley, the LO mascot that we brought home for Brady; the incredible view from 30k ft on our way to Atlanta; our sweet copper mug gift from the RC staff; the beautiful walkway to the RC spa. Bryan had his first massage ever and loved it (TOLD YOU you would, B!)
From anniversary desserts in our room, to our favorite juices delivered the next morning, to the thoughtful anniversary dinner treats (roses! rose pedals! dessert! and the sweetest gift – a copper mug signed by the staff [in place of bronze for our 8th wedding anniversary]). We went to a bourbon class (still not a bourbon fan, haha!), spent a full day by the incredible pool, and SLEPT IN <— the best part of a vacation with NO KIDS. // Pictured above, clockwise: meat and cheese board (be still my heart); rose pedals to our anniversary dinner; our delicious anniversary dinner; a pic of us on our last night there.
It was magical. Thank you so much to the Ritz for having us. We’ve already booked our trip for next year :) // Pictured above, clockwise: the beautiful view; more beautiful view; bourbon class tastings; me in a hammock before Bryan knocked me over (just you wait, B!)
